[Texto disponível apenas em inglês] After the first successful edition, that involved more than 90 artists and professionals from all over the world, the Kernel Festival is back, for the second time in Desio at Villa Tittoni Traversi.
The event, scheduled from June 29th to July 1st 2012, is intended as a platform of experimentation around the contemporary art languages, particularly focused on digital and technological applied research.

Kernel Festival launches an international open call addressed to young talents under 35, with the intent of giving them exposure alongside established artists during the three-day event.

[Texto disponível apenas em inglês] After the first successful edition, that involved more than 90 artists and professionals from all over the world, the Kernel Festival is back, for the second time in Desio at Villa Tittoni Traversi.
The event, scheduled from June 29th to July 1st 2012, is intended as a platform of experimentation around the contemporary art languages, particularly focused on digital and technological applied research.

Kernel Festival launches an international open call addressed to young talents under 35, with the intent of giving them exposure alongside established artists during the three-day event.
The Call's deadline is April 30th 2012.

Participation in the competition is free. The artists are encouraged to submit a proposal in one of the four sections of the Festival:
Electronic Music, Audiovisual Mapping, Interactive & Digital Art, Temporary Architecture.

In details, the AUDIOVISUAL MAPPING section is addressed to artists from different fields of research and background, submitting proposals in one of the categories below:
- LIVE performance (20 minutes max)
- SHORT FILM: closed audiovisual clips (7 to 10 minutes long)
- VJING: visual accompaniment to the concerts and DJ sets taking place on the Festival main stage. (about 40 minutes)
- PUBLIC INTERACTION: performances that involve the public in actions defining the audiovisual solutions in real-time. (about 10 minutes)
