We’re excited to present a mix of emerging talents, established artists, and some beloved returning acts from Japan and beyond, for three days of digital creativity and electronic music.

We’re excited to present a mix of emerging talents, established artists, and some beloved returning acts from Japan and beyond, for three days of digital creativity and electronic music.

The first day, takes place at Spotify O-EAST, focusing on the fusion of technology, sound and graphics. It will feature a collaborative performance between YPY, the electronic musician known as Koshiro Hino Goat, and KODO, a renowned traditional Japanese drum group with over 40 years of history. SPIME.IM, an Italian art collective that explores the boundaries of identity and perception in our world, will perform in Japan for the first time.
The Austrian duo of Peter Kutin and Patrik Lechner will present ACHRONIC, a live A/V set that uses artificial neural networks, marking its first performance in Japan. In addition, the emerging Japanese audiovisual duo tamanaramen perform their latest performance, Whispers by the Water.

The second day, focuses on an experimental, multifaceted approach to sound and immersive graphics, taking place at Spotify O-EAST. World premiere A/V show of Scotch Rolex & Shackleton, in collaboration with Pedro Maia, merging dub adventurous sounds with aesthetics and pushing the boundaries between analog, digital and live cinema. Sinjin Hawke & Zora Jones, founders of Fractal Fantasy, present their latest live performance A/V.

The event also featured a special live session by electronic musician foodman and beatmaker Ramza. Visual artist Kezzardrix will collaborate with them to create an A/V live show that expands space through programming-driven expression. In addition to the line-up, Tokyo-based singer Masumi, aka Friday Night Plans, performs in connection with her first album, Visitors, which blends R&B and experimental sounds produced by ENA. Leo Iizuka, who made the MV of the album, will participate as VJ, with previously unreleased material.
The annual all-night program takes place over two days on 8 and 9 December. On the first day he performs the famous British DJ Jane Fitz, known for its clever blend of acid, Spacey house, psychedelic techno, trance and ambient music. In addition, the event features Haruka, co-founder and resident DJ of Future Terror, and Sodeyama, the techno producer and owner of ARPA RECORDS, who will also perform live.

The third day at Spotify O-EAST, presents a range of electroacoustic music to media art. The world premiere of a new live performance in which light and music are synchronized will be presented by the Parisian media artist duo NONOTAK.
the live debut of a duo composed of two legends of the experimental music scene: the composer/experimental guitarist Oren Ambarchi and the electronic singer/musician Phew. The famous painter Akiko Nakayama joins them in a captivating collaboration with his Live Painting.

In addition, the electronic music band Black Boboi, composed by Kobayashi Utena, Julia Shortreed and Ermhoi, will present a unique performance that combines the arrangements of their two albums, Agate and SILK, with new songs. From Quebec, Canada, saxophonist Ida Toninato and composer/visual artist Pierre-Luc Lecours will present an immersive audiovisual performance.

The festival will close with WOMB MUTEK.JP on Saturday night, with dBridge, a mainstay of the UK’s drum & bass scene since the early 1990s, making its first live appearance in Japan. In addition, Shackleton, who runs Skull Disco and is known for its polyrhythmic tribal sound, will take the stage with a live solo set. Representatives of local talent, producers from Tokyo Itti and HAIOKA will join forces as a duo for an exciting live performance. In addition, Lynne, known for her experimental explorations in the realms of experimental, drum & bass, and techno, will take the stage as a DJ.
