This year, Patchlab Festival is preparing for you an cosmic program in new locations with the participation of many international artists on site.
Patchlab Digital Art Festival is an annual internationally recognised event for art based on the latest technologies and creative coding. It tries to reflect the constantly changing influence of technology on society and the environment by means of art. This year, Patchlab Festival is preparing for you an cosmic program in new locations with the participation of many international artists on site.
Patchlab Digital Art Festival is an annual internationally recognised event for art based on the latest technologies and creative coding. It tries to reflect the constantly changing influence of technology on society and the environment by means of art. It has been organised by the Photon Foundation in Krakow, Poland since 2012, and is also supported and co-finansed by City of Krakow.
The festival program is focused on creative potential in machines, algorithms, programming and databases, exploring key phenomena in contemporary culture and digital art, including VR/AR/XR, artificial intelligence, hacking and digital identities. The program includes exhibitions, performances and audiovisual concerts, video screenings, talks, workshops, artist in residencies and discussions with experts.
In 2019 Patchlab Festival received the ‘EFFE Label’ – a quality stamp of European Festivals Association (EFA) given for outstanding and innovative approaches, remarkable arts festivals attributed for their work in the field of the arts, community involvement and international openness. In 2021, it was awarded with the ‘Badge of Invention’ for exceptional actions during the pandemic.
