[Texto disponível apenas em inglês] The performance combines Döttlinger’s machina inquieta series with Lechner’s approaches to visualisation. Döttlinger’s machina inquieta, a digital feedback instrument inspired by W. Ross Ashby’s Homeostat and its principle of ultrastability, interacts with Gaussian-splat-based structures explored in real time in response to dense musical gestures.
The visualisation plunges into abstract worlds that mirror the rich soundscapes: noisy, mesmerising, and constantly morphing.
It consists of four interconnected units, combining sound synthesis, timbre-based self-analysis and two multilayer perceptrons that map between a 2-dimensional control interface and a multi-parameter synthesis space.
