[Texto disponível apenas em inglês] Born in Acapulco Guerrero in 1985, Manolo was introduced to the world of art at very young age by his mother a well known local painter and art teacher, in its early years he started experimenting with his Mother’s 8mm film camera shooting mostly nature, stop motion and experimental films.,

At age 14 Mendieta obtains a digital video camera and started shooting, digitalizing and editing his very first short videos that he baptised as "Spunco Films", then in 2004 he moved to Monterrey México to start his college degree in communication at the "Tecnológico de Monterrey", it was until there that Mendieta starts formerly his profesional work.

In 2005 he began experimenting with live video and live video projection and in august of the same year he was invited to perform as a visual jockey in a local concert where he used the name of "VJ Spunco" that event was his breakthrough, in the years that followed he was asked to produce and perform live visuals for several national and international music artists such as Paul Van Dyk , Tiesto , Infected Mushroom , Jhon Digweed , Plastilina Mosh , Zoé and many many others reaching the international recognition of his project.,

In november 2008 Mendieta’s project expand his field of action starting the production and direction of a Tv show about the art of vjing, live events and nature, being the first time in México that a live visual composition aired on Televisión.,

But it was until 2009 that Manolo written, directed and produced his first narrative short film “Caida Libre” a story about faith and corage shot with the Red One Digital Cinema Cámara, a film that has been screened in Brooks institute of photography and in the "Cineteca of Monterrey".

As of today Medieta is working as a director, cinematographer, VJ and RED ONE DIT in his production company SpuncoTM, specialiced in video Mapping, live video, production and post production, where he continues to evolve his skills in an ever going evolution process.
